These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website at takectrl.app (the "Website") and our mobile applications available on iOS and Android (the "App," and together with the Website, the "Services").

While we provide behavioral insights and self-tracking features, CTRL is not a medical device or therapeutic tool. It should not replace professional advice for mental health, addiction, or other medical conditions.

3. Modifications to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting on our Website or App. When we make significant updates, we'll notify you through in-app alerts or by email (if available).

By continuing to use CTRL after updates are posted, you agree to the revised Terms.

4. App Updates & Availability

CTRL evolves continuously. We may release updates, patches, or new features that enhance, modify, or remove existing functionality.

You agree that we are not obligated to maintain any specific features or provide ongoing compatibility with older devices. Please install updates promptly to ensure proper app performance.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use CTRL responsibly and only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Copy, reverse engineer, or distribute the Services or their content without permission.

• Access or collect data from CTRL using automated systems such as bots, spiders, or scrapers.

• Impersonate others, provide false information, or create multiple fake accounts.

• Interfere with or disrupt our servers or security systems.

Violation of these terms may lead to suspension or termination of your account.

You own the content you create, including notes, reflections, and progress entries ("User Content").

By posting or uploading content through CTRL, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, and display it for the purpose of operating and improving our Services.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not infringe on others' rights or violate applicable laws.

In any event, our total liability shall not exceed the greater of (i) $1,000 or (ii) the amount you have paid to CTRL in the past six (6) months.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CTRL, its officers, employees, and partners from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Services.

13. Geographic Restrictions

CTRL is operated from the United States. We make no representation that the Services are appropriate or available in other jurisdictions.

If you access CTRL from outside the U.S., you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

14. Apple, Google & Third-Party Platforms

This Agreement is between you and CTRL, not with Apple, Google, or any other platform provider.

Those companies are not responsible for the App, including content, performance, or compliance with local laws. Your use of CTRL must comply with their respective Terms of Service.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York.
